Colleagues are helpful and brilliant.
Some dev teams are good.
EDG managers are the worst; few of them are not from a technical background. They even won't understand the problems faced in projects. They are hired to coach new hires, but they require training on the coaching process. They force people to do projects in an area which you don't like (based on vacancy). The EDG review system is garbage; if they decide to downgrade your ratings, they will search for some unnecessary reasons. Actually, EDG managers don't know how to manage people, even from premier institutes. I have seen many people from IITs leave the company in frustration, as they were forced to do so. Those people are doing really well now. Customer support work is also boring and results in nothing, but it's part of the contract, so I can't say anything.
In a nutshell, very few people get to work in their interest area, a few compromise with the target area/domain, and for the rest, they downgrade the ratings and create a PIP plan, ultimately resulting in termination.
Please provide all terms and conditions of the Edg program during hiring, so that people will think twice before accepting an offer.
People from IITs/BITS were given PIPs due to a poor review system. Please improve your review system or change Edg managers, otherwise people will not join or will leave.
