Pros
  1. Work-life balance (if you are under a good manager/team).
  2. Activities (summer outing, small parties).
  3. Single, separate office.
  4. If you are in a good team/manager, the overall environment is pretty good.
  5. Most of the managers in EPS and LTC are really smart, helpful, and motivating, and they make the work really challenging and enjoyable.
Cons
  1. Less salary compared to other companies.
  2. Management would not bother about your problems if you are under a bad manager. They would try to make the manager happy.
  3. Many new Indian managers are putting smart people on performance plans.
Advice to Management
  1. If a manager puts someone on a performance improvement plan, make sure to get peer reviews from different people to check if the manager has a personal issue with that person, or if the person is actually not fulfilling job requirements. (To follow core value for each and every employee: Respect and invest)

  2. When you put someone under a performance improvement plan, ask them to do a project with a totally different team to see if the person is actually unable to do the job, or if it's only a manager's problem.

  3. If so many people leave under the same manager, give some training to that manager about how to motivate the team and have a healthy culture.

  4. Give reasonable increments to employees (at least more than new hires).
