I applied to the role and about 7-10 days later, I was contacted by the contract recruiter to discuss my experience.
Within the next week, I interviewed with the hiring manager, which was a good experience. I felt that I met what she was looking for.
I then progressed to the next round, interviewing with two managers that the person in the role would interact with. Overall, I thought the interview went well, but I knew once the meeting ended that I had failed to explain my experience well enough to match what they were looking for from a candidate.
That process took about 3 weeks, and the recruiter did reach out stating that they were interviewing other candidates and would be in touch.
After about two weeks, unfortunately, I was contacted by the recruiter and told that I wasn't the candidate selected.
I asked about any feedback that could be shared, and it was stated that they thought I was good, but I wasn't the impact candidate that they are looking for, which is what I failed to explain properly during the panel interview.
