Process

I just graduated college in May 2011 and applied online for the job via Micron's website in early July. I received a phone call from a recruiter for them in early August.

After the first round of preliminary questions, she set me up with a phone interview with a manager for the company. Just had the interview too, so the questions are fresh in my head.

I think I did a decent job, although I did get a little nervous in the middle when there were a few technical questions for which I drew a blank:

  • What's Ohm's Law?
  • Describe Kirchhoff's Laws.
  • What is a Lumen?
  • Describe NAND and DRAM.
  • What is statistical process control and how would you apply it to one of your projects?
  • Why do you want to work for Micron?
  • Describe your senior project and what class you were most interested in.
  • What are your strengths and weaknesses?
  • Describe a situation where you overcame something in a previous position?

The interview really wasn't that bad; I just unfortunately drew blanks on the technical questions when I should have prepared better. I was really hoping to get the job too. Micron would have been perfect for me :(
