There were two rounds of interview: one with the India team and the second one with the Boise team. I didn't have any online test before the interview, as it was a new team back then.
From the India team, there were 2 interviewers. They started with introductions about themselves and then asked about me. Why do I want to be an SRE?
Then the technical round started. It began with some basic questions related to C++ and was followed by medium-level questions related to DSA and algorithms. At last, there were a few questions related to SQL.
Then, a week later, I had the interview with the Boise team. There were 5 interviewers. With them, it was more like a discussion rather than an interview. It started with introductions, then an output-deriving question from C++. One by one, they started asking about my experience, about all the other projects which I had done in my internships. They asked about what tools were used and how the CI/CD pipeline was designed. They focused on the entire flow from writing code, testing it, merging it, and then deploying it.
Then they asked about my experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Foreman, and Ansible, which I had none. This interview went for approximately 1.5 hours. We also had a very detailed discussion on our project. Why was it required? Was there any other way around?
