Pros

Micron Singapore tries to encourage a decent work-life balance. Micron empowers employees in calling out safety concerns. There are several areas of engineering to explore, and job transfers internally can be done to learn different aspects of a manufacturing plant.

Cons

There is sadly no true ownership of the process or hardware.

The engineer's role is to mostly validate the work of OEM Vendors without really making an impact on crucial engineering decisions.

Original daily work isn't appreciated and the emphasis is more on innovation which might not necessarily be their own work but might be paraphrasing the Vendors solutions as their own.

Advice to Management

Appreciating the daily work that ensures the continuity of the plant as equal to innovation gives the employees incentive to do their daily tasks better instead of delegating or overloading technicians.
