Process

The interview process is as follows:

  • HR calls and asks a small set of questions to check your skills.
  • Two rounds of technical interviews.
  • Three rounds of technical interviews in Gurugram.
  • A final round with the Manager/HR.

Be prepared for an interview process that may take up to two months.

The above was updated to me by HR. After my resume went through the initial steps, the hiring manager had a doubt as to why I left a company after working for only five months. I answered that the project had moved out. The hiring manager stuck to this point for around 18 days and did not come back. I finally wrote to HR that I am not interested as the hiring manager is not competent enough to make a simple decision, such as whether an interview should be scheduled. I also question his capability in taking other decisions related to MongoDB. I also stated that this kind of attitude is not good for MongoDB, as resources are very rare.

I also updated that this should be escalated in the right way so that it does not repeat again.

Forwarding that email to the CEO of MongoDB. God bless this company with this kind of incapable hiring managers.

Questions

What databases do you know? How do you resolve network issues? Etc., very simple.
