I went through three rounds of algorithm interviews and spent approximately three months on them.
I solved all the questions correctly. While I may have gone over the time limit on one hard question by 10-15 minutes, I still managed to solve it. Although I didn't receive direct feedback, the invitation to subsequent stages suggested I performed well.
Ultimately, I was silently rejected. When I inquired about my status, I was told, "We have a highly competitive pool of candidates for this role."
It makes me wonder why time is spent on algorithms if my resume wasn't good enough in the first place. It's a shame to spend a couple of months and receive feedback like that.
