Pros

Beer on Fridays. Steady hours.

Cons

Lack of proper training and preparation to support their products.

Favoritism, isolation, micromanagement, lack of technical experience within management.

Weak internal interaction.

Customers are constantly lied to and not supported properly.

NetApp makes promises to customers and employees just to make the Fortune and top 100 companies to work for.

Employees with a lack of storage experience are hired and told that they would be trained and mentored properly. In fact, they get thrown on the telephones to answer high-end, deep-knowledge questions, where in many cases the customers know more. They are told to lie to the customers so they are satisfied with whatever answers are provided until the case is closed or the customer is temporarily satisfied.

Advice to Management

Sr. management refuses to listen anymore.
