The people and culture are what make NetApp such a great place to work. NetApp definitely believes in what they preach as far as being a company that stays up with current cultural trends and lives by those values. The diversity of cultures made it a great place to work.
Unfortunately, there are too many fiefdoms at NetApp, especially in the manageability groups. NetApp has always had too many tools in the management toolbox (which customers complain about), yet they would and could not join them together due to the egos of those in charge. Even though they all work for NetApp, they should just be working to help make NetApp a better company.
Pay more attention to what is going on between the groups. Upper management, take the time to talk to those beyond your direct reports so that you are not always just getting rosy pictures of what is going on.
I applied online and received a call for a phone interview. The phone interview was a technical round, focusing heavily on data structures and API questions. Although it's a senior-level role, the questions were framed for college-level students.
Very personable team who asked thoughtful questions, with a helpful recruiter. I did not have to do a coding section. I assume this was because the role was for a Software Engineer in Test function.
I just finished my second interview. I have a final interview scheduled for next week, which is a technical interview that will take 3 hours. It was a very chill interview. They asked about myself and what experience I am expecting for this position
