NetApp has a great name and good work/life balance.
Vacation time is not bad either.
OCI's quality management process is slow, and the tools used are outdated. Too much time is spent educating the manager, as she lacks technical skills and always relies on someone to cover for her and do the work. Promotions these days are rare, and when a promotion happens, it is given to those that do not really deserve it. They are normally the people that kiss up to management. The culture has deteriorated greatly, and those that are able to have probably already left. Those that are remaining are there only for certain reasons. Such an unprofessional work environment OCI has transformed into.
Rather than seek an engineer that has certain skills, seek a manager that has those skills and can train the engineer. That is a true leader. A manager who is lacking in technical skills or delegates all work slows the organization down. This will lead to a disaster in the long run.
I applied online and received a call for a phone interview. The phone interview was a technical round, focusing heavily on data structures and API questions. Although it's a senior-level role, the questions were framed for college-level students.
The interview process was good until the day of the interview. From that day onwards, the recruiter has been continually ignoring my emails, calls, and any attempt to get in touch whatsoever. I would definitely not recommend anyone waste their time
Telephonic with the manager, then onsite for 5 hours. It was full of technical rounds talking with different leads. The manager is good, but the team members are not clear on exactly what they want.
