I first had a call with the recruiter, who then moved me to the HM round. I had a great chat with the hiring manager (HM) and was moved to the technical screen round. I did well enough to be considered for the first onsite, which had four rounds. I was then passed to the final stage, which consisted of another two rounds. The questions were well thought out and asked in rapid-fire succession. Every detail was probed, including follow-ups. It was very thorough.
I received an offer a few days later; however, it was much less than advertised and less than what I was making. This was surprising because they used to have a reputation for top-of-market compensation, which they still claim. They stated they do not negotiate.
After relaying this to the recruiter, to my surprise, they countered up significantly a few days later, and I accepted. I'm excited to see that they value candidates.
