The interview was very technical, with five tech rounds and two 2-hour rounds afterwards. The interviewers were very professional and knowledgeable.
The first round was with the hiring manager, who explained the job profile very well and asked relevant questions.
There was also a round with programming questions, which were fairly straightforward.

Cons: Too hectic, expecting folks to work longer without any benefits like comp off or comp pay.

Decent pay in Canada, but what else?

Pros: Full remote work environment.
Not one of the best but a decent base salary in Canada.
WLB may be good if you are an average capability engineer.
Cons: - Less RSU/EOSP bonus. Even worse is no visibility to go to IPO yet.
- Never met cash bonus target.
- No extended health insurance.
- Unlimited PTO but actually less flexibility to use and a glass ceiling for some managers, like up to 5 days per quarter, which is less than limited PTO if we sum up vacation + personal leave + sick leave.
- Too many underperforming engineers.
- No interactive communication and collaboration between teams.
- Totally disconnected engineering team and product engineering team (infra).
- Not working as a team, but working as individuals.

2. There is enough work with new projects, which doesn't let it get routine and boring.
3. No micromanagement.
4. Good leadership.
Cons: Unstable work environment. A lot of effort is being invested in this area, and it is improving.
