Pros

The CEO is good at sales and getting funding. The product is popular.

Cons

Some back-end platform and infra teams are politically driven.

Pressures are not from the back but the front.

An oversized engineering team can lead to times where there are not many tasks to do, and the focus shifts to making your manager happy.

Some managers collect your faults word by word, preparing to use them to fire you instead of focusing on getting things done or making the service better.
