Software Architect Interview Experience - Berlin

Process

Applied Online.

Process started with a phone conversation with the hiring manager, which took more than 45 minutes. That call was mainly about the resume.

Secondly, an assignment that was supposed to be done in 1 hour was sent. It was an object-oriented design question with C++.

After these two phases, I was invited for an on-site interview. There were five interview rounds.

  • First was with the hiring manager. General knowledge on mobile devices was checked.
  • The second interviewer checked the initially given assignment and then asked to enhance the initial design.
  • The third interview was with the lead architect. He asked for an application design for mobile phones.
  • The fourth round was with two interviewers, in which I totally failed. The fourth interviewer had some issues with my nationality.
