Pros

Most competent technical people and excellent company benefits.

Cons

R&D locations in the USA are targeted for ongoing downsizing in order to transfer functions to low-cost centers in Europe and China. Job security is very tenuous.

Advice to Management

If you want to be considered a US-based company, such as Nokia of AMERICA, stop laying off highly skilled professionals and support the local economies in the communities and the broad US economy. Nokia wants to market telecom products and services in the USA without a commitment to full local employment.
