Some good, talented people at the engineer level are willing to share their knowledge and help colleagues to blossom. We are occasionally able to work on new technologies.
At best, middle and senior management is inept and incompetent. At worst, they are spiteful and malignant.
Despite assertions, there is no proper budget for training or development. Salaries have remained static for years, and pensions and healthcare have been badly reduced.
Concentrate on quality, not price, and sales will return. Continual cuts just mean the product will become worse, and sales will decline.
