Pros

For anyone who is looking for a long-term career growth, please don't prefer doing co-op/internships at Nokia, Canada.

Cons

One of the most significant problems I encountered was the overwhelming workload. The company consistently expected co-ops/interns to handle an excessive amount of work, often pushing us to our limits.

This not only affected our work-life balance but also impacted our job satisfaction and overall well-being. It was frustrating to see the company prioritize productivity at the expense of employee well-being.

Furthermore, I was deeply disappointed to learn about the company's hiring practices. Instead of offering full-time positions to co-op employees who had dedicated their time and efforts, I observed that Nokia preferred to hire individuals from India, presumably to reduce labor costs.

This preference for cost-saving measures over investing in the development and retention of existing employees was disheartening and unfair.

This lack of commitment to long-term employees, combined with the company's preference for hiring overseas talent for cost-saving reasons, left me with a feeling of frustration and disappointment.
