Great with remote work, even before the pandemic. Lots of good, knowledgeable engineers.
Management is downright stupid. They tried to do illegal things to cut corners (I put my foot down a few times on this). When team members leave, they aren’t replaced for years, but the responsibilities don’t go away. There are no opportunities for advancement. The job never ends, and it's on-call 24/7.
Stop listening to consultants. Spend more on your good engineers.
