Pros

The only pros I can think of is that they offer a decent benefits package: pension, healthcare, mobile phone, and flexible working hours. For example, you have to work between 9:30 AM and 12:00 PM, and 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, but you can work what you want other than that, as long as you complete your 37.5 hours a week. They also offer a good bonus scheme, although this has declined in recent years.

Cons

Software engineers are not treated well at the company.

They are paid less than other departments, such as marketing.

There is no room for career progression. I am stuck on the same grade since I started at the company, even though in all my performance reviews I have exceeded all my targets.

Getting professional training is difficult, as the company budgets are too restrictive.

Advice to Management

Reward software engineers more often and offer more career progression paths.
