Mechanical Engineer Interview Experience - Mountain View, California

Process

The process was very straightforward.

I reached out to the recruiter on LinkedIn with the positions I was interested in. She took a week to get back and then set up a 30-minute recruiter round.

After clearing that round, I was moved to a 45-minute technical interview with an immediate team member, which went on for an hour.

The feedback was positive, and I was asked to share my availability for a "power day" interview with six people (45 minutes each).

Due to COVID restrictions, all these rounds were conducted via Zoom or Google Meet.

These rounds were with:

  • A technical/domain expert
  • The hiring manager
  • The supply chain manager
  • An electronics and electrical engineer
  • A vehicle integration expert
  • Concluding with a recruiter round.

The questions were very specific to the role and its interaction with all the above aggregate heads/owners. They were subject-specific and revolved around the roles and responsibilities.
