Applied Deep Learning Research Interview Experience - United States

Process

A recruiter reached out over a month after I submitted my initial application to schedule an interview.

I asked the recruiter about the interview format (behavioral vs. technical, etc.), but they never responded.

I met with the Hiring Manager for a 45-minute interview to evaluate experience and overall fit. The interview was positive, but I ultimately heard back a month later with a rejection.

The reviewer failed to respond to prior requests for an application status update.

Questions

The first 10 minutes were spent discussing the team's background, goals, and current projects.

Then, 3 minutes were allotted for questions pertaining to my technical background and prior projects that overlapped with the work their team was doing.

The remaining 5 minutes were for Q&A.
