Deep Learning Software Engineer Interview Experience - Seattle, Washington

Process

Phone screen. The interviewer was not interested at all.

I was given a LeetCode hard question. Initially, I went down the wrong path with 2D DP, but then, within a few minutes, I corrected myself and revised the solution. However, the interviewer was not receptive to it, as he only knew how to solve it using a greedy approach. He constantly tried to push me into his way of thinking, not considering my solution.

In the end, I arrived at a correct solution, which I feel he didn't fully grasp. (I checked it on LeetCode for correctness, and it passed. It was even listed as one of the possible options in the "Solutions" tab.)

Ultimately, I did not pass. The interviewer was of very low quality, leaving me with very negative feelings afterward.
