Pros: Flexibility and focus on results rather than formal procedures, making it convenient to work here. Great appreciation for innovation, research, and improvements. Steady growth in terms of career and a lot of possibilities for personal development, such as: * Internal lectures/conferences * Partner programs with universities * Web learning portals * Domain experts, etc. Bleeding-edge technology and experts in multiple fields, with ties to scientific R&D, and you can take part in any of those fields and acquire knowledge from experts. Competitive salaries. Management is mostly built of people with a serious practical background, so they have a lot of understanding of what is going on and a vision that is both very practical AND innovative. Feeling that you build and shape the future.

Cons: Flexibility doesn't work well for all people. Some people feel comfortable with a more strict, managed environment, strictly formulated tasks and timeframes, and don't appreciate too much individual freedom. Company resources are more limited than those of bigger companies. This may sometimes be perceived as a good thing (work smarter, not harder), but otherwise it limits potential possibilities.

Pros: Biggest salaries on the market, very good colleagues, interesting products, and amazing management (that surprised me too). Transparent grade system. I really think this is the best place to work in Moscow.

Cons: The office is somehow cheap, compared to Mail.ru or Yandex.

Pros: NVIDIA walks the walk. They have standards for how people should be treated, and they live up to them. They pay very well and have generous ESPP and 401K matching programs. They also encourage people who are interested in working on something new to move internally – that keeps your team's perspectives fresh. One story I heard illustrates the heart of the company. I joined in the middle of the worst of the pandemic, when everything was locked down. NVIDIA has a big campus in Santa Clara, and that was likewise shut down. The company that provided the on-site food for employees was obviously not needed, but the CEO, Jensen Huang, decided to keep paying them so that they wouldn't have to lay off their people. The money was already budgeted, so rather than treat it as a windfall for NVIDIA, he made sure that the people from the catering service could still make their mortgage payments and support their families. Now that's a company I could be proud to work for!

Cons: Health insurance: Unless you're in California, the coverage options are limited to Cigna, and none of my doctors accepted Cigna.
