After applying online, it took 30 days to be contacted by an HR representative personally. A phone interview was scheduled.

The interviewer on the phone was a mid-level employee at the company. In the first interview question, they asked about my work experience, after which they started talking about my CV. The interviewer then asked me a question, and I provided an answer, but he expected a different kind of response than what I gave. That was the only question he asked.

After that, he started discussing the company's need for candidates with very good knowledge in 3D graphics, as well as OpenGL, DirectX, and other graphics APIs.

I was really confused about the job description versus what they were asking me about. I had basically applied for a VR developer position, and it had shifted to a Senior Software Engineer role. I don't know how that happened. After that, I received a call from NVIDIA HR stating that my profile had been shortlisted.

Explain the graphic pipeline. That was the only question he asked.
