I applied via one of NVIDIA's research partners. I sent my CV along with a recommendation letter from my mentor.
Within two weeks, they scheduled a phone interview with a very easy-going manager. I was given a simple C assignment to complete within two days.
Shortly after they received my solution, my second interview was scheduled for the following week. This time, I met an even nicer person, a fellow who had interns the previous year and was hired afterward. I was asked some technical questions, which were quite easy, and we spoke extensively about my project (he even offered some help with it!).
I'm so excited to have been hired because the people at NVIDIA seem very clever, yet easy-going and friendly.
Describe virtual memory:
I was given a short function in C (dictated because we were hanging on a phone):
c int foo(int a) { int result = 0; while (a >>= 1) result += 1; return result; }
My task was to say what's wrong with this function, what its purpose is, and what I would write to my colleague who submitted it for a code review.
