Process

The hiring process began with a 20-minute presentation, where we were introduced to the selection criteria and the scope of the position being hired for.

Written Test: Round 1

This was a one-hour written test divided into four sections: C/C++ programming (10 marks), Operating Systems (10 marks), Hardware (15 marks), and Analytical (15 marks).

Level of difficulty: Easy for C/C++ and Hardware. Other sections were comparatively difficult to solve.

Technical Interview: Round 2

This was a face-to-face technical interview that lasted for 1 hour. They asked about hardware and questions from the written test. They delved deep into my problem-solving abilities.

Questions asked during the face-to-face technical interview:

  • Resume projects
  • College support for your projects
  • Questions from the written test
  • Analytical skills to check problem-solving abilities (e.g., 3D coplanar circle algorithms, flowchart to check coplanar circle)
  • Basic pointer concepts in C
  • Difference between structs in C and C++
  • What happens when the OS boots up
  • What are my interests? (I showed interest in software development, then Software Testing, so they asked this next question regarding that) They also asked about my interest in Android development and web designing, so they inquired about the latest versions of Android OS.
  • What if an organization offers you a job that has nothing to do with software development, what will be your approach? (Not interested in software testing..)
  • They asked if I had any questions for them.

Technical Round 3: Did not appear.

Response to the interviewer: Lack of interest towards software testing.
