Process

I was notified that I was being selected for an interview for "Software Engineer Intern". I provided my availability and asked, "What team and/or role would this be for? Any information at all would be very helpful." I asked this because there are a wide range of different teams hiring from that application.

The recruiter said they had no idea and could give me zero specific information on the role, stating, "Just ask about the role and where you fit in." This happened to me three times for two different intern roles.

The team ended up being embedded/system software for the AV driverworks team. Consequently, I went into the interviews completely blind and unprepared. Every interview went varying levels of badly. If I had been able to have some minor preparation information, I would have performed immeasurably better.

It was a very disappointing experience, and I think if I am contacted for another role at Nvidia, I will likely decline, as I have other opportunities at the same level.
