Process
I met them at a career fair and was contacted subsequently.
After about a week, I had a phone interview that comprised of some basic algorithms questions and discussions on my prior projects. The interview was a little less than an hour long. I did really well and was then invited onsite.
One of the scheduled interviewers did not make it and was replaced by someone else. There were four rounds:
- With the manager: a really interesting problem, but the goal was to only approximate the solution, and it involved subtle nuances of low-level arithmetic.
- Algorithmic interview.
- Question on OS synchronization.
- General interview, in addition to a discussion of my resume.
Questions
The question with the manager was not really difficult. The final expected solution was rather unimpressive.

Pros: - My team (SHIELD products ) has a lot of young people and is expanding and hiring quite a lot. They tend to have a good speaker series in summer as well.
- Have a decent industry rep (good for resume)
Cons: - Experience really depends on team. If you get on a boring team like me i.e. SHIELD, APT then u're going to be working on boring stuff like their test infra.
- Honestly don't even know why they still fund SHIELD, the product doesnt make them any money
- won't be making an impact with your work here
- benefits not as good as FAANG companies

Pros: NVIDIA is the best because it compares itself to perfection (speed of light), not to others.
Here, you will find the best culture, the best team (winning or losing), an exciting vision (mission is the boss), a flat and lovely hierarchy that encourages optimal flow of information, and the best pay and benefits so you can focus on doing your life's work without concerns.
From my experience, it will be near impossible to find a place to work better than NVIDIA.
Cons: 1. It's an agile company that moves fast under uncertainty. Many learning experiences will be uncomfortable, but one should get used to it. It gets much easier with such a supportive team.
2. Being in a product team, there will be some deadlines. It can get a bit hectic close to these deadlines, even when my supervisors try their best to keep me out of stress.
