Pros: Great technology inside. You will learn a lot about the leading edge in high-performance computing, graphics, and deep learning, even if you don't work on those things per se. There are many internal events and seminars that will show you incredible ways NVIDIA is changing how computing is done. The engineers are incredibly talented, and you'll find really smart people with really smart ideas from whom I personally guarantee you have a thing or two to learn. Intern only: Your manager will really care about how much you learn and experience out of the internship and provide a great educational environment. Gamers: You'll be surprised how much of a different perspective you get for NVIDIA products once you are inside. You'll see in incredible detail how NVIDIA responds to big bugs, with details on what the bug is and how it got fixed. I got to see how two major public bugs were handled internally, and it was fascinating to know all the details as a game enthusiast. Great stuff, probably the best part of this internship—that inside perspective as a games technology enthusiast. Interns only: Jensen. I had two opportunities to talk to him and got several pictures and a few autographs from the man. He's an awesome person to talk to, and seeing him in person is great.

Cons: - Relatively small pool of intern projects that I got to choose from. The one I ended up going with was pretty dang cool, and I learned a lot, but I was expecting some other things. It depends on which team you are going into. - I couldn't really learn much about what I was going to do in the internship, though I must say I can't really complain since it turns out all the projects were incredibly confidential stuff.
