Pros

Amazing product roadmap with a push towards self-driving cars and machine learning.

The startup culture and speed at which the company aligns towards new markets is commendable.

Cons

Do not get into QA. The amount of bureaucracy you will face is surely going to bring the morals down. It's as if being in a dictatorship with folks in upper management trying to control the way you work. Micromanaging every aspect of your life and penalizing you for a simple report having an unapproved subject line.

The HR does not bother, as the folks who are responsible for the mess are too high in a position to be replaced.

Heavy attrition of skilled folks leads to a dilution of talent. Suppressing talented folks from growing in the organization is clearly visible.

Management cooks up data to show otherwise, and those who can resolve this are usually "hogwashed" into believing the data is factual.

At the end of the day, the real engineers are too afraid to come out openly on all the micromanagement, as they are torn between working on cutting-edge technology and dealing with their managers.

Advice to Management

Management = Folks from HQ

Introspect on facts. Talk to HR and understand the mental health of folks in QA.

Pull out data on how many complaints were received. Look at the attrition.

Conduct surveys with specific questions related to the local management (all levels, not just the immediate manager).

Get rid of a few folks who are not intellectually honest and micromanage the hell out of the employees.
