I applied for the role of Staff Software Engineer (Node.js).

Within a week, I received an HR response for an initial screening. This was followed by one interview, and based on its outcome, four additional rounds of interviews.

During the HR screening, I was asked about my current role and my skill sets.

Output of basic JS questions:

• Polyfill to create a map of an array for a JSON object.
• Print value node of a nested JSON object. JSON objects had arrays and JSON nodes.
• Basic Todo app in Node.js with Get/GET a Todo, Update Todo, Create Todo.

[Technical]

• Check if an array is in strictly increasing order and can be made with at most 1 modification.
• There is a stream process. This stream is processed on 100 servers to check if that stream can be in increasing order. (Interviewer was not from a JavaScript background, so we were having difficulty in approaching the problem).
• How to manage the Terraform state file?
• Difference between a freestyle pipeline and a normal pipeline?
• Difference between ENTRYPOINT & CMD in Docker?
• How to check the current OS version in Linux and the current running process?
