Todd McKinnon (CEO) is an amazing leader. I wish I could say the same about the rest of middle management.
Management is very political. In 2 years at Okta, I've had 4 Engineering Managers. With that sort of turnover, it's tough for managers to really dig their teeth in. It can feel like engineers are running the show (beyond what is typically expected of their role).
