The worst interview experience.
The first round was a phone interview. I did really well and they invited me for an onsite.
The Engineering Manager sent a friendly email the day before I was flying, which was really nice.
The onsite interviews are where things went really, really bad. The questions weren't too hard, but there is no way you can complete them in 1 hour.
The second interviewer was not interested at all. I was talking to myself and typing the solution away, and she seemed to do her own thing on Slack.
After 2 rounds and a lunch interview, the recruiter comes in and says that they will not be moving forward to the next interviews in the afternoon to save my time. Save my time, seriously?
I flew all the way to meet the team and learn more, and not one person asked me about what I was working on and my interests. And they send me home after half day?
My flight was not until late that night, the hotel was for just the night before, and I spent the next 5 hours walking around the streets of SF. Worst experience ever.
A question that involved implementation of a trie data structure and using that.
