A recruiter emailed me directly (after getting my address from LinkedIn, I think) and even chased up once, seeming very keen. We arranged a first-stage interview on Zoom, where we discussed the company, the role, and my experience. Someone from HR sat in with her camera off. We spent an hour chatting, and the recruiter said he would pass my CV to the team and get back to me.

He never contacted me again. I chased him up by email a couple of weeks later and would have been happy with a stock rejection (it happens!), but he blanked me. Disappointing because the first interview was really positive and he gave a lovely impression of the company, and just a really rude way to deal with candidates!
