The online assessment was difficult, especially the coding section. The problems required heavy use of hash maps and handling complex logic with many edge cases, and my solution ended up being over 200 lines of code. It felt less like a typical algorithms test and more like implementing a small system, so structuring the code clearly and keeping track of state under time pressure was the main challenge.
The Zap-N section went quite well. It was a set of fast-paced, game-based tasks:
It tested spatial reasoning, pattern recognition, and numerical speed, which suited my strengths from regular speed-maths practice. Overall, it was a challenging but fair assessment, and I'm pleased that I passed and have been invited to the behavioural interview.
