The interview process involved two technical rounds, followed by a Manager round, and finally a Director round. I cleared all four rounds of interviews.
After two weeks, the Operations Manager called me and offered a salary. I asked for a hike, but there was no room for negotiation. Since I didn't have any other offers at that time, I accepted it. The manager (Praveen) then told me that he had initiated the offer process and I would receive the offer within two weeks.
Two weeks passed, and I didn't get any response. I then called the Operations Manager, who informed me that the offer was on hold. I asked for the reason, and he replied that HR had come back to them asking for the reason for the change.
I told him that the recruitment team had been following me for two months, he knew the reason, and all four interview panelists knew it. It seemed like a silly excuse.
