This was arguably the worst interview I have ever attended. I applied through LinkedIn and received a call from a recruiter.
The recruiter wanted to schedule my first interview round. I specifically asked if I would be questioned on Data Structures and Algorithms, as I had requested time to prepare for them. She confirmed twice that there would be no such questions, and I agreed to the first interview round.
The first thing I noticed in the coding round was a question about Trees. I informed the interviewer about our prior discussion, and he changed the question to a general Java topic. He then asked two different coding questions, both of which I completed.
We finished the interview, and I received an email from the recruiter stating that they were not proceeding with my candidacy.
I have no idea what the interviewer thought or if there was any miscommunication between the recruiter and the interviewer.
