Principal Software Engineer Interview Experience - India

Process

The first screening round focused on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) or any questions related to your knowledge of the system. I was asked to design a job scheduler. It was an engaging discussion, and I cleared that round.

After that, I entered a loop round consisting of two technical interviews, one hiring manager interview, and one "bar raiser" round.

The technical rounds were good, and the interviewers were very humble and knowledgeable.

The hiring manager round was where I decided I would not join this company, even if I received an offer. The hiring manager was rude and had a specific solution in mind for the system design question he presented. His tone was condescending, and I'm glad I experienced this because these are exactly the kind of people I am trying to avoid working with.

Honestly, I was expecting the hiring manager round to be a discussion about their projects, their contributions to Oracle Health, and the roles and responsibilities. It's the only round where a candidate gets to learn about the project they might join.
