It was a college placement. For the first round, be sure to prepare for general aptitude questions with very quick answering.

From the second round onwards, general DSA, Database, and SQL queries would also be asked.

The question started with generating a basic query given the database, with joins and filters based on criteria. Then, the interviewer asked me to implement a function that would do exactly the same thing in any programming language I am comfortable with. This involved making proper assumptions about which structures I would use for tables and how I would extend the function to perform this query as well.
