I received a call from a recruiter who scheduled an initial discussion over Zoom.

Unfortunately, due to heavy rainfall in Mumbai, there was no electricity. I was unable to join the meeting or inform the recruiter because my mobile and laptop were switched off.

Once the electricity was restored after 30 hours, I immediately opened my email to send an apology. However, the recruiter had already sent a note in a very rude manner.

I wanted to highlight this behavior from a senior recruiter at one of the most prestigious companies in the world. Such conduct from a recruiter truly reflects the overall work culture at Oracle.

I would never want to join a company that doesn't understand situations where most people are working from home and such disruptions are sometimes inevitable.
