Senior Java Developer Interview Experience

Process

A recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn and scheduled an interview with the Hiring Manager. The HM round went well, and so he asked for the next two rounds (the final rounds). The last two rounds were coding and system design. They went super well, and the interviewer even said that he was impressed and looking forward to working with me on the team.

After that, it's been three weeks. I was following up with the recruiter for feedback, and the recruiter kept saying that he didn't have any update on feedback for three weeks. I mean, seriously? For three weeks, you don't have any update?

Then, suddenly after three weeks, the recruiter called and said that they were not going to extend an offer. I was shocked. I mean, I've been given interviews, and I know they went super well, but still, no offer is really strange for me. It shows the company culture that they are not truthful to the candidate.

Questions

1st round: Recruiter screening.

2nd round: Hiring Manager round, technical questions about your project and experience.

3rd round: Coding exercise (find duplicate characters in a string).

4th round: System design.
