The recruiter set up the phone interview with the hiring manager. The problem was to implement an in-memory view counting system. The requirement was to return the accumulated count per hour for the requested hour in the last 24 hours. The manager intentionally presented the problem vaguely at first, so a lot of clarification was needed.

I thought I did pretty well, but it seemed the hiring manager just held my case there. I asked the recruiter to check the status, but the recruiter could not get anything. Then, after several weeks, I received the rejection email.
