Process

I applied through the Oracle job portal. After two weeks, they informed me I was shortlisted and scheduled an interview for the following week.

I believe we should not postpone scheduled interviews in the second/manager round, or else the result would be like my second round of interview.

Questions

First Round:

  • Tell me about yourself.
  • Expect questions on functional testing, behavioral aspects, and real-time scenarios.
  • API Testing and Postman questions will be asked, including status codes.
  • How would you validate one request if you receive thousands in the body?
  • Scenario: Low Priority, High Severity defect.
  • A puzzle question, such as a coins puzzle, will be presented.

Second Round: This round felt like a rejection.

  • Which is your favorite subject? (Regardless of your choice, expect questions on Science and Maths).
  • Questions included: "Explain moment of inertia with an example," "What is a step-down and step-up transformer?" "How is current produced for our homes?" (All 10th-grade physics concepts).
  • A question related to Church Bells (LCM concept).
  • At the end of 5 minutes, you will be asked about priority and severity, with an example of low priority and high severity.
