Process

Online Assessment Round (1.5 hours):

  • 1 DSA question
  • 30 MCQs (10 CS fundamentals, 10 Aptitude, and 10 Verbal questions)

After 2-3 days, we received the shortlisted students list. Forty people were shortlisted for Applications Development, and another 40 for the Server Tech role.

Then we had our interview day. Oracle interviews were offline and on campus. The day was quite hectic, and since many students were shortlisted, the overall procedure took a very long time.

I had three rounds of interviews: the first was at 10 am, the second at 5 pm, and the third at 7 pm. It was a very tiring day.

Questions

Round 1 (40-45 minutes):

This was mainly a resume-based round. The interviewer grilled me on my resume, focusing on one project in particular, and asked a little about my experience in IRIS. He also asked about my favorite pillar in OOPS and requested a brief explanation. Then, he posed a simple verbal DSA question: how to quickly find the top 5 stock prices from a continuous stream of incoming stocks (using a simple priority queue is sufficient).

Round 2 (30 minutes):

In this round, the interviewer handed me a piece of paper and asked around 5 DSA questions. The questions were not very complicated. Some included reversing a linked list, finding the middle element of a linked list, a question solvable using a heap, and two tree-based questions, one of which involved finding the vertical view of a tree.

Round 3 (20 minutes):

This was again just a resume-based round.
