Process

The interview process was fairly standard:

  • An on-campus interview was followed by an in-person interview with three engineers.
  • The final interview was with the VP of Engineering.

Each of the in-person interviews involved coding a solution to a given problem within approximately 30 minutes. The coding was done privately, meaning the interviewee was left alone to solve the problem without the interviewer present. The problems were all typical computer science problems, focusing on knowledge of data structures and algorithms. There were no brain-teaser or 'gotcha' type questions. Culture fit also appeared to be a component, with questions about hobbies and similar topics.

Questions

Implement a string sorting algorithm in C.
