I applied for this position, and a recruiter contacted me.
After that, the first round was with the tech manager for an hour. He asked behavioral, CSS, and Vanilla JavaScript-related questions.
The second round was a take-home test. I needed to write code along with test cases. I believe I did a good job and spent 5-6 days on this test, but I received a rejection.
They sent an automated email for rejection after I spent hours on the take-home project and an hour in the interview. It's fine to get rejected, but they could have sent a proper email.
After that, I asked the recruiter if the rejection was for the same job I interviewed for, as I had applied for multiple positions. The recruiter confirmed it was for the same job. I also asked for feedback, but he did not get back to me.
If someone is putting in hard work, they should be given some kind of feedback.
