Process

The interview process was long, consisting of four rounds in total.

  • Round 1: A simple screening with the hiring manager, involving a self-introduction of background and some basic technical questions.
  • Round 2: A technical test, specifically focusing on coding.
  • Round 3: An interview with a senior software engineer. This round was repetitive, similar to the first.
  • Round 4: An interview with stakeholders. This was another repetitive round, similar to the first.

In conclusion, the interview process took about one month. It was a repetitive process with different stakeholders. Management could consider minimizing the number of rounds by merging interviews into one. Moreover, it was quite disappointing that the hiring team shortlisted only a few candidates for the final round. This gave false hope and led to significant disappointment, especially when a candidate went through so many layers and was still not selected at the end. Perhaps the hiring team could implement a more rigorous filtering process, shortlisting candidates one by one to the final round.
