Pros
  • Flexible timings and plenty of WFH options.
  • No restrictions on the laptops or computers provided to you. You can browse websites, install required software, and use pen drives, etc.
  • If you want to take care of your family only and are no longer interested in your career, then this is the best organization for you. Also, if you want to start your own organization, you can join Oracle and chase your dreams.
Cons

Absolutely worthless company. Should be banned from the IT industry. No hikes, no appraisals, nothing.

No HR policies for the appraisal cycle. It completely depends on the VP, and they don't believe in giving yearly hikes. There are several good candidates who didn't get a hike for 3-4 years continuously and finally left.

Most of the projects work in the Waterfall model, and Oracle as an industry is trying to live up to modern-day demands like Continuous Delivery and Agile.

Forget your career and growth if you want to stay in Oracle for long. Certainly, this organization is not a good place for performers. That is the reason several talented people are leaving this organization in a short span and joining better product development and cloud organizations.

Oracle is a dying organization because many of its hot products have good competition now. For example, most organizations are moving towards Cassandra, MongoDB, and other non-Oracle databases. Server-side applications and reporting tools of Oracle are also on the downside. They are working more on ADF, which has very little outside market demand.

Advice to Management

Employees, whether working in the private or public sector, or anything else, thrive on yearly hikes and bonuses. If you can't guarantee at least a minimal hike every year, then stop your IT operations or rethink your business strategy.

Value people, and your company will be valued as well. Look at other good product companies and how much they spend on employees. You will know what you need to do.
