Pros

Leading-edge technology and good benefits.

Cons

They do not seem to care about their customers or employees, only their stockholders.

No raises or bonuses in over 8 years.

They outsource jobs to foreign countries. Employees go through the effort of mentoring peers in foreign countries only to have their position eliminated.

They lay off older and experienced workers to hire college grads at lower pay or outsource to foreign countries.

Severance package is poor. Benefits end at midnight on the last day of employment. Maximum of 26 weeks of severance despite nearly 30 years of service.

Advice to Management

Middle management is great. Upper management needs to put more focus on customer satisfaction and employee retention. Allow older, loyal, and experienced workers to move into new jobs instead of just letting them go. They are too focused on the bottom line.
